Ahh, it's been awhile (kinda, not really), I've decided to post some updates!
Well I have my list of ways I can raise my own money, they are all pretty similar but I might as well list them.
1. Make stuffed animals
2. Babysitting gigs (this is hard actually)
3. Screen printing designs on bags, shirts, etc.
4. Making and selling art, either paints, sketches, etc.
5. Asking for change (is that legal? Panhandling?)
6. Selling cupcakes or cookies or something, maybe I should do a bake sale....
7. Bake sale
Alrighty, good enough. I gotta go to my grandma's. Bye bye.

ChipIn
Hey everyone!
I have a ChipIn button now so it's possible to help sponsor me. Please do so, it's relatively easy and helps a whole lot more than you could ever imagine. (:
Try it and thank you!

Hi there! I'm Sage Alexander. I currently reside in Shoreline - just North of Seattle in the state of Washington. I'm currently a sophomore in my second semester of the year at Shorecrest High School. I have applied with the American Field Service to reach my ultimate goal of visiting and staying in Japan for a semester in 2010. I've been wanting to visit Japan ever since I was 6, and I've been studying the language formally and informally for 5 years so this has been a long term dream of mine. I'm very interested in culture and learning more about other people, people that are so different from me but also alike in many ways.
I feel that as a responsible teenager, I am a great representative of my country and our ideals. I'm not the type of person to force others - I'm the type to compel and teach and of course be taught in return. This long term dream of mine has been resting for as long as it could, now that I have the chance I really need to take it! I've been interested in Asian cultures, specifically Japanese culture, since I was very very young. My single mother had taught me compassion, open-mindedness, acceptance, and understanding. I strive not to be tolerant of other cultures but simply accepting. I am very eager to learn and share cultures, languages, experiences, and much else with the whole world. I hope to make a difference in the world by helping people understand eachother. A lot of the injustice I see in the world merely stems from miscommunication.
As most kids with a sponsor blog - I need sponsorship. Basically, my situation is a little wonky. It always was I guess. My mother is a single-parent and she raised me from birth till now. Despite child support and my mom having a job it's still really hard to make ends meet for my family. Everyone has been hit by the recent financial crises, so extra curricular activities or luxuries are just too hard to pay for. Something like travel is especially hard for me or my family to pay for. I wouldn't want to burden them with a debt to pay just so I can visit another country, but on the other hand I've had this dream for as long as I can remember. I'm asking for a donation to help me realize my dream, so that I can have an amazing opportunity and share my experiences with others.
I've created this blog for people to help me raise money. As for myself raising money; so far I've been utilizing my talents as a seamstress and sewing little toys and items to sell. I make cat toys, stuffed animals, hair accessories, and a whole menagerie of things to raise money. It's a very good use of my spare time since I'm so interested in sewing and creating cute and fun little things that make others happy.
I'd really love to be able to finally travel across the sea to the place I've always wanted to see. Hopefully I can with the help of friends, family, and sponsors, raise enough money for the most amazing, unique experience of my life. My goal is to raise about $7,000 so I can cover most costs of my trip with AFS. Any help is greatly appreciated and I'd love to sew you one of my cute stuffies if you don't mind. Thanks for stopping by my blog and there will definitely be more posts in the future. I'll update about any more fundraising I've been able to do or any other break-throughs, ha ha. Anything you can give will help me and there is no amount too small, any help is seriously a great gift. So, to sponsor my AFS program now, please click on the ChipIn button. Also, if you think anyone else would be interested in my blog or sponsoring me, please link them with the URL. (:
